TRI-4-MS Run Information

With our training partner PacWest Athletics of San Francisco we provide coached long runs and track workouts. The program is run by coaches from PacWest and mentoring supplied by both Tri4MS team members and PacWest team members.
 
 

Key benefits of the Run program

The run program cater to individuals at all level of fitness. The program is perfect for triathlon, marathon and distance runners. The training groups are arranged by running levels typically maintenance, comp, pro and race. Most athletes regardless of their fitness level  will move between groups as they prepare for racing and recover from races or injury.

The Run and Tri programs train together on Thursday nights at Kezar Stadium in SF for coached speed track work which is designed to increase a runners speed and overall performance. They also train together in the off season on Saturdays mornings for long runs 6 to 12 miles. These long runs are based on time typically 35min-55min out then turn around depending on runners level.

All run training is supervised by both run coaches who help with technique and run captains who run in the groups who provide encouragement, support and one on one advice during the runs.

Pricing

As our training partner PacWest supplies all TRI-4-MS volunteers with training to help prepare you for your event. Typically most people will develop their athletic confidence within two months. PacWest has agreed to provide three months of training to volunteers after which you can decide to train on your own/ with your mentoring group / continue with PacWest at a minimal cost until your event ($25/month)
